Mount Rinjani National Park Overview
Mount Rinjani is the second highest volcano in Indonesia and provides spectacular trekking opportunities.
At 3,726 metres the summit offers an amazing 360 degree view across Lombok. Bali and the Gili Islands are clearly visible to the west and the rugged mountains of Sumbawa can be seen directly to the east. The picturesque crater lake, named Anak Segara due to its blue color, provides hot springs for bathing and endless opportunities for camping and fishing.
Mount Rinjani is sacred to both the native Sasak people and the Balinese Hindu population. Locals regularly make the pilgrimage up the mountain and bathe in the hot springs which are believed to hold curative powers. Mount Rinjani dominates the island of Lombok both physically and spiritually and promises unforgettable adventure.
